Located in Western Uganda, the park has a variety of animals such as zebras, impala, buffaloes, and numerous bird species. The park is 4 hours drive from Kampala.

At 260 km², the park is the smallest of Uganda’s savanna national parks. The park has camp grounds and permanent tent facilities for visitors. Kimbla-Mantana African Safaris operate the only luxury tented camp inside the national park - Lake Mburo Tented Camp.

Activities include game drives, boat trips, fishing, bird watching and guided walks.
