Welcome to your unforgettable holiday to Tanzania! Our Tanzania safaris feature some of the world’s greatest natural spectacles like the Serengeti National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Selous National Park, Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater, Mt. Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar Island.
Tanzania has an extraordinary array of natural beauty. It is a safari destination without peer - an unparalleled one-quarter of its surface area has been set aside for conservation purposes, with the world-renowned Serengeti National Park, famous for the annual wildebeest migration, and the vast Selous National Park, heading a rich mosaic of protected areas that collectively harbour an estimated 20 percent of Africa’s large mammal population.
Kilimanjaro with its three volcanic cones, Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira, is an inactive stratovolcano in North-eastern Tanzania rising 4,600 m (15,100 ft) from its base, and is additionally the highest peak in Africa at 5,895 meters (19,340 ft), providing a dramatic view from the surrounding plains. There are several routes by which to climb Mt Kilimanjaro, namely, Marangu, Rongai, Lemosho, Shira, Umbwe and Machame. Of all the routes, Machame is by far the most scenic albeit steeper route up the mountain. The Rongai is the easiest camping route and the Marangu is also easy, but accommodation is in huts. As a result, this route tends to be very busy and ascent and descent routes are the same. Some of our very best of Tanzania wildlife safaris combine with a beach holiday in Zanzibar and wildlife safaris in Kenya. Check out our wide range of quality Tanzania safaris and itineraries.
