This safari is suitable for a long weekend when there is a public holiday falling close to the weekend – it can start on a Thursday and end on a Sunday or start on a Friday and end on a Monday. This safari is best done with a minimum two nights in Mara to give you enough time to enjoy the wonders of the world-renowned game park.
Day 2: Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara After breakfast at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge, we set out for our journey to the world-famous Masai Mara Game (Wildlife) Reserve. We will drive West past Mount Longonot in the Great Rift Valley and via Narok to the Masai Mara. We arrive in good time for lunch at a Lodge/Camp. We set out for game viewing drive in the afternoon. Masai Mara is always on the Must See List of every tourist visiting East Africa. The park is full of wildlife with various types of animals, including the Big Five, and various species of birds. Masai Mara is a rolling grasslands and acacia savannah has time and again been captured on film with the movie Out of Africa being the most famous. The park is home to the Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Leopard and Rhino – Africa’s famous Big Five - and over 450 bird species.
Dinner and overnight at the Mara Sopa Lodge/ Mara Simba Lodge/ Sarova Mara Camp. Full day in Mara with morning and afternoon game viewing. We can break game viewing and return to the lodge for lunch or leave with packed lunch in the morning. You can have your lunch in the bush as you see the spectacular sceneries and diverse wildlife that Mara is famous for. All meals at your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge/ Mara Simba Lodge/ Sarova Mara Camp. Day 3: Masai Mara and Nairobi
